All of these show, except for the SC Meat Goat Project Final Show, are managed by groups/associations separate from the SC Meat Goat Project. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact them directly. The SC Meat Goat Project does not take the supervising role of any youth during any project-related events and activities.
2025 Schedule
May 3rd, 2025 - Learn About Meat Goats Workshop
Learn all about meat goats. No goat required. This hands-on workshop will teach you everything your child and family need to know about raising and showing meat goats. The workshop includes animal selection, housing, health care, grooming, transporting, record book, and everything you need for the SC Meat Goat Project.

June 7th, 2025 - SC Meat Goat Project Kick-Off
Learn from the professionals. Clinicians will teach you everything to know about fitting and clipping your goat properly. This clinic will be very helpful to those wanting to participate in the project fitting contest. No goat is required to attend, however, this is the first of two opportunities to tag your goat in for the 2025 SC Meat Goat Project.

July 28th, 2025 - SC Meat Goat Project Summer Clinic
Bring your goat to come and learn about showmanship while also sharpening your skills. Bring all of your questions about how to be successful in the show ring. This is the final chance to tag your goat into the 2025 SC Meat Goat Project.

Goats much be bathed and shaved before the fitting contest.
Exhibitors will have 30 mins to fit their goat. (Must bring your own supplies)
