All of these show, except for the SC Meat Goat Project Final Show, are managed by groups/associations separate from the SC Meat Goat Project. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact them directly. The SC Meat Goat Project does not take the supervising role of any youth during any project-related events and activities.
April 15th, 2023 - Learn About Meat Goats Workshop
Learn all about meat goats. No goat required. This hands-on workshop will teach you everything your child and family need to know about raising and showing meat goats. The workshop includes animal selection, housing, health care, grooming, transporting, record book, and everything you need forthe SC Meat Goat Project.

June 10, 2023 Project Kick-Off Fitting clinic (fitting is the process of grooming your animal for a show) and mock educational contests. One of South Carolina's best show fitters will be giving a demonstration on how to get your goat ready for the show ring. Project members will also enjoy participating in a mock Skill-a-Thon, Judging, and Quiz Bowl contests. Don't forget that this event is one of only two events where you can bring your project animals to be ear-tagged for the project.

July 17, 2023- SC Meat Goat Project Summer Clinic
The SC Meat Goat Project Summer Clinic develops and refines project participants' showmanship skills and fitting skills. Youth are encouraged to bring their goat to this event, so both youth and animals learn. The Project Fitting Contest will be held after a workshop on fitting. Goat tag-in begins at 4:00pm. This is your last opportunity to tag in goats!
